Lighting wire and its purpose
- A special type of wire, known as a lighting wire, is used for wiring, for connecting various lighting devices to the power supply network, for making extension cords. Structurally, such a wire consists of several soft copper or aluminum cores covered with a special insulating layer and a refractory shell. The wire of this type can be laid in special channels, under the plaster or on top of it.
The letter designation used in the marking of the lighting wire indicates such product parameters as the material and flexibility of the conductive core, the level of insulation and the specifics of the protective shell design (for example, the SEAM wire is a conductive core of soft copper wires with a PVC plastic sheath and a braid of cotton or synthetic threads).
