Aviation wire: purpose and features
- Aviation on-board wire is a product to which special requirements are imposed due to the specifics of operation. Designed for power and control circuits of devices and electrical equipment installed on board the aircraft, such a wire must combine high reliability and the minimum possible weight and dimensions, as well as have properties that exclude the possibility of damage during installation and during operation (increased resistance to kinks, abrasion and punching).
The aviation wire must meet a number of requirements: incombustibility, resistance to high and low temperatures, to low pressure and moisture, to vibration loads and shock, to chemical effects (kerosene, gasoline, oils and other substances) - in short, the wire must remain fully operational in difficult operating conditions, including the complex effects of climatic and mechanical factors.
